People said Palomar was crazy creating these jigs with such high cost components. Maybe we’re nuts but now there’s no need to swap out any components as we’ve done all that for you for much less. Our flat fall maximizes the water column width upon descent showing itself to all species on it’s way down. We slightly altered the hydro-dynamic mold for a wider, slower drop. Our vision was to end the problem of out-dated design, low quality, high cost lures. The jigging game needed changing, so we did just that. Anglers now have the quality they deserve for no extra charge. Maybe Palomar doesn’t get rich like others that try to imitate us. But copying would require matching our quality components, and over the years, that’s yet to occur. All anglers know that quality components are everything for a jig. It’s a no brainer.

The Surface Cast Ninja Original Treble Hook & New School J-Series Hook

Palomar has always offered the traditional surface treble hook lure and rightly so. The hydro-dynamics create a perfect movement pattern from approx 1 to 30 feet of surface water. Our new J-Series surface jig is a small but significant augmentation from traditional surface lures. After examining it’s effectiveness it was a clear decision to develop this modernized jig. We chose the Owner 3x J-hook as it’s great for larger species. Constant casting and reeling won’t rake sea grass or snag rocks or reef. The hook is bigger and stays razor sharp cast after cast. Both styles are great for the tackle box whether you’re on the beach or a boat.
